The holidays were off to a sweet start this year with the STLAi Cookie Challenge. Our skilled staff chefs brought in nine varieties of home baked cookies for anonymous judging. Sampling all those cookies and meticulously evaluating them for taste, texture, originality, and aesthetic value was quite a task, but everyone was up for it. Congratulations to Margot for winning top ranking with her cherry-topped Black Forest cookies, 1st runner up Maxime for her light and creamy ganache-filled Milan cookies; and 2nd runner up Sarry for her crisp, buttery Krach Kuchen. We’d also like to give a shout out to Jasmeen for organizing the challenge.
The friendly competition continued with our holiday party, which began at Track & Field, a cozy indoor lawn game bar which has, in their own words, “an unmatched enthusiasm for games generally played by the elderly.”
After working up an appetite with bocce ball and shuffleboard, we walked a few doors over to District Oven to meet up with family and friends for a tasty dinner of Mediterranean food with a contemporary twist. Thank you to our Holiday Party Committee, Dylan, Sarry, and Erika, for putting together this fun evening on College Street for the STLAi team.
We would also like to thank all of our clients, colleagues, and vendors who have sent holiday greetings — we have enjoyed a constant supply of chocolate and greeting cards over the last few days!
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for a wonderful year, and wish all the best to you and your families during this joyous holiday season.
May your holidays be filled with joy and laughter.
