Scott leads tours of the University of Toronto’s green roof testing laboratory with architects and engineers

Scott recently invited civil engineers from Fabian Papa & Partners and architects from LGA Architectural Partners onto the Green Roof Innovation Testing Lab (gritlab) to encourage the cross pollination of ideas between this state of the art research facility and the design industry. While at gritlab, the engineers discussed the latest research on extensive green roof stormwater management with Phd student Jenny Hill and  Professor Jennifer Drake, U of T Faculty of Civil Engineering. LGA Architectural Partners discussed the latest research on biodiversity on extensive green roofs with  Biology Phd student and gritlab researcher Scott MacIvor. We hope these tours were the beginning of many fruitful discussions between those testing the performance of extensive green roofs and those building extensive green roofs in Toronto.
